Testimony: Our family of 4 needed a fun, adventurous, but relaxing getaway and our stay at ‘Gone Bananas’ did the trick!  Dave, Patti and Chad met us upon boating up to the island to help get us all unpacked and situated, which was a nice warm welcome.  Lubbers Quarters proved to be a nice central location to explore from and a quieter island to come home to.  Our boys loved finding live conch on the beach.  I loved that I got to read 3 books in a week!  We boated often to Tahiti beach as it was so close and beautiful and when we felt braver we went to Nippers beach and snorkeled at Pelican Cay – both amazing!  Elbow Cay has a bakery (great key lime pie) and a basketball court, which also made for lovely, fun and easy afternoons.  We have been home for almost a month now and this the first time I’ve had the chance to write a review, life is just so busy.  A week (or more :) at Gone Bananas is a nice remedy!  Our vacation generated many peaceful and memorable moments,
Many thanks,
The Rickards

Gone Bananas  is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. Patti and Dave have thought of everything to make this rental feel like a home. The house is very well maintained and clean. The kitchen was filled with top-notch pots, pans, dishes, utensils and much more. Dave and Patti are so knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of tips and suggestions before our trip via email. They met us at our boat to help bring our luggage and food to the house. It felt like we were coming home to family. After a quick tour of the house and yard which is full of lush tropical plants and lined with beautiful conch shells, they left us to begin our week stay. The Wi-Fi worked great, we downloaded an App before arriving that allowed us to call and text our children via Wi-Fi free. Lubbers Quarters residents were very friendly and welcoming.  The golf cart was great to explore island and carry our items for the day to the boat or beach. Every evening after dinner we walked to the marina to see the sea turtles, then to the dock for the sunset! The dock was also a great place to fish. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had and we will definitely return.

First, Patti & David are the best and take “super host” to a whole new level. They checked on us during our stay & communicate very promptly to all our requests/questions. They even came to the dock to greet us when we arrived helping us with our luggage, explained all the amenities and acquainted us to this hidden treasure island (Lubbers Quarters ). Second, the house, Gone Bananas, was immaculate in every way, very clean, it had everything and more that we needed. We also felt so safe, never once did we close or lock our doors. We would be remiss if we did not mention how amazing Chad is! He also was there when we arrived to help with luggage, grabbed more bait for us when he went to Hope Town and came to help on the sad day when we had to leave. I really could go on and on but truly there are not enough words to describe how we were treated and how much we fell in love with this beautiful place and the beautiful people on Lubbers………Just WOW!! We will be returning to Lubbers and Gone Bananas sooner then later! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

Beautiful vacation home on Lubbers Quarters lovely interior well maintained with spacious deck. David and Patti Hanafourde were excellent hosts and explained to us different areas to fish snorkel and swim. Peaceful location with only the presence of golf carts. We enjoyed taking one around the island to see all the different landscaping and lovely vacation homes. We plan to return soon to this lovely vacation home.
